How to collect logs from Safetica server

Learn how to enable, collect, and submit server logs for troubleshooting purposes.

❗Collecting Safetica server logs is only available for Safetica hosted on-premises.

You can collect logs from Safetica server in 4 steps:

Step 1: Enable verbose logging

Step 2: Reproduce the issue

Step 3: Collect logs and send them to Safetica Support

Step 4:Disable verbose logging

 

Step 1: Enable verbose logging

To enable collecting verbose logs from the Safetica server:

  1. Open Safetica Maintenance Console.
  2. Go to Profile > Settings next to the affected server.
  3. Scroll down to the Other settings section.
  4. Change the Logging level to Verbose.
  5. Click Finish to confirm the changes.

 

Step 2: Reproduce the issue

✍️Reproduce the issue after enabling verbose logging so it’s captured in the logs.

 

Step 3: Collect logs and send them to Safetica Support

  1. Open Safetica Maintenance Console.
  1. Go to Maintenance > Information collection and make sure you're in Settings view.

  2. Click Add collecting task.

  3. As Collecting type select From SMS.

  4. Click Finish.

  5. Wait until the logs are collected and click Download.
  6. Upload the downloaded logs to upload.safetica.com for analysis.
 

Step 4: Disable verbose logging

Once the logs are collected and sent:

  1. Open Safetica Maintenance Console.
  2. Go to Profile > Settings again.
  3. Scroll down to the Other settings section.
  4. Change the Logging level back to Errors.
  5. Click Finish to confirm the changes.
