Creating and using virtual reports in Safetica
Bookmark a page with set filters and view it when needed.
✍️ Applied filters can be saved as Layouts for future use.
Besides Scheduled reports, Safetica also offers virtual reports. A virtual report is a bookmarked URL that captures your current Safetica console settings. Because the URL of every console section reflects the filters, groups, sort orders, and other settings you configure, bookmarking it lets you return to the same filtered view at any time, even after closing the Safetica console.
If you select Last 7 days, you will always see the last 7 days from the date on which you view the report. If you select a fixed date range, you will always see that range no matter on what date you open the report.
How to create a virtual report:
- Open the Safetica console and navigate to the section you want to track.
- Apply your desired filters, groups, date range, and sorting.
- Copy the resulting URL from your browser's address bar.
- Bookmark the URL in your browser or save it to a shared location.
- Open the bookmarked URL at any time to return to the same filtered view.
Example: You are interested in creating a report that will show blocked data transfers to the web performed in the last 30 days. If you bookmark the settings, you will be always able to see this filtered info.
