Safetica NXT Basics

Welcome to Safetica NXT!

Safetica NXT helps you detect and investigate suspicious events in outgoing data. It gives you insight into what data is leaving your company and provides clear context to all outgoing file transfers by showing when, where, how, and by whom data was sent out. Every operation is logged and stored securely in the cloud using the world's most secure Microsoft Azure platform as cloud provider.

Getting started with Safetica NXT

To get to know Safetica NXT better, let's have a look at its key components:

See what matters most

Dashboard is your landing page, where you can see at first glance the most pressing issues that happened in the environment and might need your attention. Here you will also find links to Safetica installer and more useful info about how to work with Safetica. In Dashboard, you can:

     open Safetica documentation

     download Safetica installer and read instructions for Safetica installation on endpoints

     see an overview of important info from Safetica NXT that helps you quickly grasp the situation of your customer and take appropriate action. Click the tiles to go to the individual sections of Safetica NXT and see more details.

      see how the number of total and suspicious operations changed in time

Protect your data

In Data security, Safetica NXT audits outgoing file transfers from endpoints on which it is installed and displays them in great detail. Since users may perform hundreds of such operations every day, Safetica determines which of them might cause data leaks and highlights these as suspicious events for the admin.

In Data security, you can:

     see who initiated the most file transfers and how many of them were suspicious

     see how the number of total and suspicious operations changed in time

     filter records to discover and investigate suspicious events

     download records as an .xlsx file

     customize the default rules for suspicious event detection to better reflect your company environment

Enroll and manage endpoints

You go to Endpoints when you need to install Safetica to a new endpoint. Afterwards, you will see an overview of information and Safetica issues from enrolled customer's computers. In Endpoints, you can:

      download Safetica installer

      initiate troubleshooting of problematic endpoints

      see Safetica status, such as whether it is deployed, needs to be updated, on which computers it is deactivated, and so on

      see when an endpoint last sent its logs
