BUG fixes

What’s new

  • Safetica NXT – Data security:
    • User can filter data via the Events in time chart by selecting desired timeframe with the mouse cursor    

                       

    • The chosen time range is retained by system while the user browses through the console until a page refresh is performed.

BUG fixes

  • Custom filter used on the dashboard didn’t refresh after an update
  • Custom filter used on the dashboard didn’t refresh after a delete

Latest changes bring improvements in user onboarding and data flow investigation. We also gave our Customer Console a new name. From now on, we will refer to it as Safetica NXT.

What’s new

Safetica NXT Dashboard

  • There are three additional widgets in the Dashboard section related to product introduction, deployment, and updates 


Safetica NXT – Data security  
  • Improved data in the Data security > User dataflow table: 
    • Logs related to EMAIL BODY have been deactivated 
    • Table includes additional column related to Source type 
    • Selected custom filters remain set until the user makes a new change (filters are not reset to default after page refresh or user’s re-logging) 
  • User can update stored custom filters via Data security -> My filters 
  • User can filter data via the “Events per users” table 
Safetica NXT – Detection rules 
  • User can click a value in the Detections column and is automatically redirected into the Data security > Overview section and presented with filtered events 

BUG fixes 

  • Custom filter remained set even after it was deleted 
  • The same user-defined filter could be saved multiple times 
  • Performance issue in UI for large data 

Version 2.8.0 (Release date January 13, 2021) 

Latest changes bring improvements in both detection and investigation. We are optimizing detection accuracy and improving data flow analysis.  

 

What’s new 

  • Customer console – Dashboard 
  • User can see the first widget in the Dashboard section -> Timeline chart showing events from the past seven days 
  • Customer console - Data security  
  • User gets improved features and look & feel in the Data security -> User dataflow table, which now allows more effective navigation: 
  • Table header is fixed and visible even while scrolling down the table 
  • Filter icons were moved on the right side of each column to save space in the table. 
  • Change of columns (activation/deactivation, setting up width) in the table is responsive -> table retains the complete width regardless how many columns are activated or how the width is set by the user 
  • User can delete stored custom filters in Data security -> My filters 
  • User gets into the Data security -> Overview page right after selecting the Data security option in the side menu 
  • User doesn’t get information about file name in the Source and Destination columns unless the file was renamed. 
  • Customer console – Detection rules 
  • New Detections column informs you about the number of times each detection rule “produced” a suspicious event. This feature is not applicable to rules with threat level Info 
  • It is now also possible to deactivate selected rules individually, without having to delete them 

BUG fixes 

  • Issue with broken login and redirect to customer console in latest version of Firefox 
  • Page settings in Data security were not retained after user left the page 
  • Auto-refresh issue in the Endpoints section after performing troubleshooting 

Version 2.7.0 (Release date December 8, 2020) 

Latest changes bring improvements in detection and investigation. We are optimizing detection accuracy and improving audit log navigation. We are also introducing the first set of troubleshooting features. 

 

What’s new 

  • Customer console - Data security  
  • User can move individual detection rules in the list up or down and thus change their priority (rules are evaluated from top to bottom of the list) 
  • User can easily access data from all hidden table columns via event detail 
  • User can filter data based on File size 
  • User can export data including the reason for threat level determination 
  • User can filter info or suspicious events and receives correct experience in the Events in time chart 
  • Customer console - Endpoints 
  • User can perform troubleshooting on problematic endpoints via a new Troubleshoot command available in the Actions table column 

BUG fixes 

  • In Safetica HUB, user didn’t see the List of customers table after first login 
  • In Customer console > Data security, user could set the ALL option in the Operation column filter 
  • Incorrect title for the Events in time chart in Data security 
  • Cropped tooltip in the Data security table 

Version 2.6.0 (Release date November 18, 2020)

Latest changes bring a significant improvement in threat detection. We deliver a set of cool new features - custom modifications of detection rules, which will significantly optimize detection accuracy.

What’s new

  • Customer console - Data security
    • User gets information about filtered data in the form of filter tags.
    • User can optimize the accuracy of threat detection by configuring new custom rules in Data security > Detection rules. Rules can be set as:
        • Blacklist = events that should be detected as suspicious.
        • Whitelist = events that should be detected as informational (not suspicious).
        • User can see all the default system rules and created custom rules in Data security > Detection rules.
        • User can modify or delete custom rules.
    • MSP console - Customers
      • User can deploy a DEMO customer which can be used during product demonstrations and internal testing.

    BUG fixes

    • User does not see all columns in the table, even when they are set as visible.
    • User does not receive correct information about the operating system (MS Windows server edition is not supported)

    Latest changes bring improvements in the data security section. We focused primarily on detection accuracy and better explanations of detected threats.

    What’s new

    • Customer console - Data security
      • User can learn why an event is considered suspicious via a tooltip.
      • User gets complete info about logging time in the table.
      • User can find info about file category in the table and use this option for filtering.
      • User can change table settings (add/remove columns and change their width).
    • MSP console
      • User is advised to enable cookies in their web browser. This is a prerequisite to perform any actions within the console.

    BUG fixes

    • User does not receive any logs from the deployed endpoint.
    • Logs do not contain any info about used application.
    • User receives logs from webmail channel under a wrong category.
    • User cannot filter data for “today”.
