This article describes how to set Safetica exceptions if you need to use Chromecast on endpoints that have Safetica installed.
Depending on your network, security and settings, try some of the following tips which should help you to stream Chromecast even if the Safetica endpoint is active.
- Add the IP address of the device you want to stream to via Chromecast to Trusted servers in Safetica Management Console - Maintenance - Integration settings.
- Disable the Network layer on the computer from which you're streaming via Chromecast - Safetica Management Console - Maintenance - Endpoints Deactivation - find the computer in the User Tree - Deactivate Network layer
Network layer is currently required only for several selected features:
- Blocking access to websites (can be set up in WebSafetica)
- Monitoring emails in desktop email clients other than Outlook
- DLP rule for Git channel
- Disable Integration into network communication for Google Chrome. Navigate to Safetica Management Console - Maintenance - Integration settings, find Google Chrome in the list of applications and disable Integration into network communication.
