Information in this article applies to Safetica ONE 10 or older.
This article introduces several simple steps to open the Safetica Management Service to the internet and establish client-server communication from outside the company's internal network or VPN.
The most important thing is to allow the port chosen for communication in the server's firewall settings (by default, the port is 4438, however, you can change it). Once the port is allowed, you have two options:
- If you want to redirect existing Safetica Clients, simply right-click the root of the user tree in Safetica Management Console. Choose Redirect and insert the server's public IP address. Please see this article for further details.
- If you want to distribute Safetica to new endpoints, you need to configure the Safetica Agent installation package. Open the Safetica Universal Installer and choose manual installation. After that, click Safetica Agent and insert the server's public IP address into the configuration.
TIP: You can add multiple addresses divided by the pipe sign. For example: domain_name|internal_IP|external_IP
