      Installation of WebSafetica

      Information in this article applies to Safetica ONE 10 or older.

      WebSafetica is an integral part of Safetica which cannot be used without other components provided by Safetica. However, it may be installed separately on a server, or other device that has access to the SQL database. The installation can be performed following one of these scenarios:

      Automatic installation

      is an easy way of installing WebSafetica together with Safetica. After launching the installer, everything else is done automatically.

      Manual installation

      A. Installation using universal installer

      allows for installation of individual Safetica components based on the user’s choice. At the time of installing WebSafetica, the Safetica solution should be already implemented in the corporate environment.

      • Open the Safetica Management Console and go to Profile
      • In Connection click on Server serverSettings and choose getConfig
      • Transfer the configuration file to the folder with the universal installer.
      • Run the universal installer on the selected device and choose Expert installation -> WebSafetica and follow the instructions.

      B. Installation using web download

      • Download WebSafetica from http://downloads.safetica.com/websafetica_setup.exe
      • Open the Safetica desktop application, go to Profile
      • In Connection click on Server serverSettings and choose getConfig
      • Transfer the configuration file to the folder where WebSafetica installation file was downloaded
      • Run the installation file

      First run

      When the installation is completed, the Web browser with WebSafetica address is opened. If the window does not open, or if you want to open it in another location, enter the address in the format: https://device_name/WebSafetica.

      If your domain is not certified, a security exception must be approved in the form of a certificate. You can do so by following these steps in the window with the warning:

      • open Advanced Settings option
      • then click on Continue / Add exception
      • Confirm the addition of exception

      • 2.40 GHz quad core processor 64-bit (x64)
      • 8 GB RAM
      • 20 GB of free disk space

      Software

      • IIS 7.5 and higher version (Windows 7 or Windows Server 2012 (64-bit only))
      • MS SQL Server 2012 or higher
      • Web Deploy 3.5

      (Web Deploy is included in WebSafetica installer)
