This article provides information on how to optimize your OCR detection setting and how to collect necessary logs for further analysis.
❗This article applies both to the new Safetica and the legacy Safetica ONE.
Requirements:
Safetica Maintenance Console-
- In Safetica ONE – Named Safetica Management Console and available to administrators by default.
- In new Safetica – Renamed to Safetica Maintenance console. Available upon manual installation from here.
How to optimize OCR settings:
In case of a problem with OCR catching a sensitive part of the image, first try to check if you can adjust the regex, or keyword, or focus on another text in the image.
You can test our used content technology on this website and check the results:

However, if you are still having problems capturing the required text, please proceed with the log collection.
Log collection:
- In the Safetica Maintenance Console > Maintenance > Endpoint settings, select the affected endpoint in the tree on the left-hand side.
- Change the “Logging level” to “Verbose” and save the change using the confirmation button in the top right corner:
- Wait for a few minutes for changes to apply
- Replicate the issue with OCR
- In the Safetica Maintenance Console > Maintenance > Information collection, set up a new collection task, leave the preset configuration, and finish the wizard while selecting your tested workstation in the process.
- Download the generated log files and attach the affected image file. Upload everything to upload.safetica.com along with the information about the date and time of the test.
