Informative alerts

Informative alerts inform you about user behavior and are sent after a set-up threshold is exceeded.

 

For now, this article applies only to Safetica hosted on-premises.

Please note that in Safetica, the following alerts are missing and will not be sent, even if you select them in the list:

  • Data downloaded
  • Data uploaded

Informative alerts are sent based on user behavior. They can inform you about users spending specified time in selected web/application categories or sending/receiving too many emails. To receive them, at least one user must be included in the alert.

Informative alerts are sent either once per day or once per week when a defined threshold is exceeded. You can define different thresholds for day and week intervals – the alert is triggered when any of them is exceeded. Results are evaluated each midnight for daily thresholds and on Sunday midnight for weekly thresholds.

Set the number of files after which the alert will be triggered.

For alerts related to tagged (classified) files, you can also specify to which data classification the alert will be applied. If no classification is specified, the alert will apply to all of them.

Network

Time spent on web categories is defined in minutes, and you can also select to which web categories the alert will be applied. If no category is specified, the alert will apply to all of them.

You can also create an alert for the amount of received or sent emails.

Applications Time spent on application categories is defined in minutes, and you can also select to which application category the alert will be applied. If no category is specified, the alert will apply to all of them.
Print Set the number of printed documents or pages after which the alert will be triggered.
