What happens when the number of licenses is exceeded
✍️If there are more licensed users than purchased licenses, you will see a warning in Safetica console, but Safetica and its protection will work as usual.
Please note that having more licensed users than purchased licenses violates Safetica Fair Use Policy as defined in article 5.4 of Safetica Terms of Service.
How to remedy the exceeded number of licenses
If there are more licensed users than purchased licenses, you can remedy the situation by either:
- Buying more licenses.
- Removing licenses from users who do not need them. Please remember that they will no longer be protected, and policies will stop applying to them.
Where to find info about protected users and licenses
A list of all protected users is available in the Users section on the Users tab.
Safetica hosted on-premises: You can find more details about your licenses and the number of protected users in Settings > Subscription and license management.
Fair use policy regarding the number of Safetica Clients
Our goal is to secure the company data regardless of location and device.
✍️To keep the number of devices with installed Safetica Client reasonable, a fair use policy is in place: the customer may install Safetica Client on a number of devices that corresponds to three times the number of licensed users (because 1 user may use more devices - desktop, laptop, macOS device). You can learn more in Safetica Fair Use Policy as defined in article 5.4 of Safetica Terms of Service.
