Overview: The Windows 11 24H2 update, released in October 2024, has caused issues with Safetica device driver connectivity.
❗If you are using External device policies to manage or block USB and other external device connections, we do not recommend updating your computers to Windows 11 24H2 at this time.
Behavior: With the Windows 11 24H2 update, external device policies are unable to manage or block USB or other device connections, though audit of connected devices continues to work correctly. This issue is related to non-standard device behavior and varies depending on Safetica hosting:
- Cloud-hosted Safetica: Besides only auditing device connections, Safetica Client restarts every 5 minutes, which may cause operational delays. The restarting issue will be resolved in the upcoming release scheduled for October 11, 2024.
- Safetica hosted on-premises: Besides only auditing device connections, there is no impact on device functionality.
👨💻We are working hard on a solution to fully restore USB and device-blocking capabilities.
