Prerequisites for proper monitoring and protection:

  1. Browser version up-to-date
  2. Safetica version up-to-date
  3. Safetica Client isn’t partially deactivated, more specifically:
(Safetica Maintenance Console > Maintenance > Endpoint deactivation)
    1. Safetica User Interaction Service
    2. Safetica DLP Service
  4. The browser is properly integrated

(Safetica Maintenance Console > Maintenance > Integration settings > Application integration)

More than one process can be listed across the whole list. Please ensure to review all of them.

To verify your application is properly integrated locally, see the following article:
How to manually check the Safetica integration

Isolating the source of the slowness:

  • To test this, deactivate each of these two modules separately and restart the browser before performing another test:
(Safetica Maintenance Console > Maintenance > Endpoint deactivation)
    • Safetica User Interaction Service
    • Safetica DLP Service
  • If none of that helped, please deactivate the whole Safetica Client Service, restart the PC and if the issue persists, it’s not caused by Safetica. If the performance issues are gone, proceed with the log collection

Log collection:

  1.  In the Safetica Maintenance Console, right-click on the affected endpoint and select [Enable Active Management - 1 hour]. Wait until the endpoint icon turns green
  2. On the affected endpoint, redirect to “C:\Program Files\Safetica\Tools” and run “STSupportToolSfx.exe”
  3. Click on the [Create application issues report]
  4. Leave the preset configuration default and proceed by clicking [Run]
  5. Reproduce the issue and keep the browser open in the background.
  6. Once done, click on [Reproduced] and wait for the monitoring to finish
  7. Next, click on [Report], describe the issue, and proceed by clicking [Next]
  8. Finish the wizard and upload the obtained .sfx output to upload.safetica.com
