System requirements and compatibility overview for unified Safetica

Device requirements for Safetica

Supported device operating systems

  • Windows 10 (64-bit) with all Security Patches (we support the latest 2 Windows 10 versions, i.e. 21H2 and 21H1)
  • Windows 11 (64-bit) with all Security Patches
  • macOS 12 and newer

Safetica Client version

Safetica Client 10.4 or newer.

Supported web browsers

Safetica features are fully supported in the following web browsers. They are also regularly tested with the latest publicly available version.

Windows: Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, Opera, Yandex

macOS: Safari, Google Chrome

Browsers for mobile devices may not be fully supported.

Supported email clients

Windows: Outlook (2016 and newer)

macOS: Mail

Safetica analyses sensitive content in outgoing files and bodies of emails sent from supported desktop email clients.

Please do not install the MAPI add-in for Outlook 2013 and older. MAPI add-in is only supported for Outlook 2016 and newer.

Windows: Microsoft Teams, Slack, WhatsApp, Microsoft Skype, Microsoft Skype for Business (only desktop app), Telegram, Viber, Facebook Messanger

Supported remote transfer applications

Safetica NXT can apply restrictions to file transfers over RDP.

Supported clouds

Windows: OneDrive Personal, OneDrive Business, SharePoint, Google Drive, Dropbox, Box (restrictions are applied to synchronized folders on local disk and to uploads to corresponding websites)

macOS: iCloud, OneDrive Personal, OneDrive Business, SharePoint, Google Drive, Dropbox (restrictions are applied to synchronized folders on local disk)

The information in this section applies only to Safetica hosted on-premises.

In order to ensure smooth performance and the best experience, we recommend prior consultation of the hardware requirements with our technical consultant.

*** Hard drive requirements take into consideration the space needed for the database and backups. Before updating to a newer version, free space on the drive with the transaction protocol should be at least five times the current size of the database.
