❗Action required:
-
💻Safetica On-Prem: Update Safetica Client on your devices to Cumulative release hotfix 11.30.35 or Feature release 11.34.6 or newer.
- ✨Safetica Platform: Update Safetica Client on your devices to Safetica Client version 11.35 or newer.
❗From October 2026, Microsoft and antivirus vendors are expected to block the vulnerable driver used by older Safetica Clients. Once it's blocked, the Safetica Client won't start, and the devices will be left unprotected.
-
Affected driver: ProcessMonitorDriver.sys (CVE-2025-70795), present in Safetica Client versions older than 11.35.
- See this article for detailed information.
Safetica 11.40.7

⭐ New
- OCR selection: You can now choose between two OCR engines - Standard OCR for faster processing suitable for most environments, or Alternative OCR for higher accuracy where performance impact is acceptable.
- 🍏 Added for macOS: AI assistants protection: Safetica now supports data policies for AI assistants (Claude Desktop (Chat + Cowork), ChatGPT Classic, and Microsoft Copilot). You can restrict file uploads to these applications and their corresponding websites.
🛠️ Fixed
- Cloned PC support: Safetica now automatically detects and handles cloned devices, so admins no longer need to manually manage identity conflicts when cloning devices
- Bug fixes and performance improvements.
Safetica 11.39.8
⭐ New
- Improved handling of encrypted archives: Safetica now distinguishes between encrypted files and files in unsupported formats, allowing you to create separate policies for each. You can now allow encrypted archives to leave your perimeter even when Safetica has detected sensitive content inside them.
- New predefined classification rules for Israel and Ukraine:
- Israel: Driver licence number
- Ukraine: Identity card number
- Ukraine: International Passport Number
🛠️ Fixed
- Bug fixes and performance improvements.
Safetica 11.38

⭐ New
- 🪟Win only: AI assistants protection: Safetica now supports data policies for AI assistants (Claude Desktop, ChatGPT Classic, and Microsoft Copilot). You can restrict file uploads to these applications and their corresponding websites.
- Git control in Data destinations: You can now add Git repositories as data destinations, specifying both HTTPS and SSH addresses. This allows you to make certain git repos either safe or untrusted and apply policies accordingly.
- Extended file type detection: Safetica can now detect the actual file type for all file extensions, not just the recommended set. You can enable this in Data classification > Settings > Content analysis settings > File type detection to cover additional formats such as CAD or STL files.

Security
❗This release resolves two high-severity security issues that are pending CVE assignment:
- Privilege escalation vulnerability in Safetica Client for Windows (On-Prem)
- Denial-of-service vulnerability in Safetica Client
-
- CVE: CVE-2026-0828
- KB article with more info can be found here.
Both vulnerabilities require local system access to exploit. When the system is protected by an EDR solution, exploiting them without detection is difficult. We are not aware of any cases where these vulnerabilities were actively exploited.
In addition, this release fixes several lower-severity security issues and includes improvements that further strengthen Safetica’s overall security.
