Introducing Safetica Cloud Protection

Introduction

Safetica Cloud Protection helps companies to:

  • Gain insight into data-related activities in Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Actively protect their data in Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Extend policies to the cloud to ensure that cloud-based data are accessed and shared securely.
  • Audit and control data accessed from company devices, personal (BYOD) devices, or even mobile phones - as long as a company Microsoft 365 account was used to perform the action.

 

Protected applications

Right now, you can activate protection for the following applications:

 

1.  Microsoft Outlook

Offers active protection and remediation for emails sent via web and desktop Outlook.

    • Block emails that violate your policies before they are sent via Outlook.
    • Notify the user about emails that might violate company policies if they are sent.
    • Protect emails sent via Outlook even on devices without Safetica Client.
    • Gain insight into emails (both with and without attachments) sent via Outlook.
    • Prevent sensitive attachments from leaving via Outlook.

2.  Microsoft Exchange 

    • Gain visibility into outbound email communication.
    • Audit all emails (both with and without attachments) sent by your Microsoft 365 users.

For active email protection (i.e. the ability to block emails that violate your policies before they are sent or to notify the user about possible policy violations), please activate Microsoft Outlook protection.

3.  Microsoft SharePoint

    • Audit and protect file activity in SharePoint, OneDrive for Business, and Teams.
    • Cancel file sharing (both internal and external) that violates your company policies. Control to whom your files are shared via Microsoft 365 and protect these files from possible data loss.
    • Audit important file activity, such as file uploads to / downloads from Microsoft 365.
