How to install Safetica Client to your devices

Learn how to download Safetica Client installer and install it to selected devices manually or bach-install it to many devices in the company remotely.

You need to install Safetica Clients on the devices which you want to protect and from which you want to receive records.

Where to find Safetica Client installer

 

Safetica Client installer can be downloaded from the Devices section in your Safetica console:

  1. Open Safetica console, go to Devices, and click Download installer.
  2. Choose the installer suitable for your system (Windows or macOS).

  3. The download will start automatically. 

  4. You can install Safetica Client manually to individual devices, or you can batch install it to multiple devices using GPO or another remote management tool.
  5. After successful installation, each device will be displayed in the Devices section.

 

How to install Safetica Client to your devices manually

If you want to install Safetica Client to selected devices manually:

  1. Copy the downloaded Safetica Client installer to the selected device.
  2. Run the installer manually on the device.

For macOS users:

After successful installation, certain permissions must be granted to Safetica Client for macOS. You can do that either by installing our signed Apple Configuration Profile or manually.

 

 

How to batch install Safetica Client to your devices remotely

Running the Safetica Client installer manually on each device from which you want to receive records can be difficult in large companies. You can, however, use several remote management tools for batch installation:

  • Tools for Windows devices:
  • Tools for Windows and macOS devices:

For macOS users:

After successful installation, certain permissions must be granted to Safetica Client for macOS. You can do that either by installing our signed Apple Configuration Profile or manually.

 

GPO (Windows devices)

If your company uses Active Directory, you can effectively utilize the Group Policy Object (GPO) for the distribution of Safetica Client installers to devices. Learn more about that in this article.

Microsoft Intune (Windows and macOS devices)

Microsoft Intune (a cloud-based mobility management tool) can be used to deploy Safetica Client not just to Windows devices, but also to macOS devices. Script (macOS devices)

You can also run scripts in one of the above-mentioned solutions to remotely install or uninstall Safetica Client on macOS devices. You can also run the script locally. If you run the script locally, make sure there is no quarantine flag left after the download (use xattr -c <script> command to remove all extended attributes).
