What is Safetica ONE 11, and why did you build it?

Safetica ONE 11 is a new generation of Safetica ONE. We created it to:

  • Replace Safetica Management Console and WebSafetica with a streamlined web-based management console.

  • Maximize product value by optimizing features and user experience to reflect real use cases.

  • Simplify DLP protection by further unifying policies and data classification.

  • Optimize backend performance and response times.

  • Enable future development and product innovations.

License management - what changes with user-based licensing?

Seat calculation – we count active users, not active devices. Also, all detected users are licensed. If a user shouldn’t be licensed, their license can be unassigned. Learn more about user-based licensing here.

When will features be completely migrated to the new Safetica ONE 11 console?

Throughout 2023, the feature set of Safetica ONE 11 will be gradually expanded. Each release will introduce some new features to the Safetica ONE 11 console and remove them from Safetica Maintenance Console. Once we reach feature parity with what was available in Safetica ONE 10, we will completely sunset the desktop Safetica Maintenance Console.

How often will there be public releases?

We expect to release public Safetica ONE 11 updates at least once in 6-8 weeks.

Can I update Safetica ONE 11?

Yes, you can perform updates from older Safetica ONE 11 versions to newer ones.

I’m using Safetica ONE 10, how do I update to Safetica ONE 11?

Safetica ONE 11 is a full-featured product but does not yet include the entire feature set of Safetica ONE 10.

As of June 2023, Safetica ONE 10 users can only update to Safetica ONE 11 manually, and the update might break their existing configuration.

Throughout 2023, the feature set of Safetica ONE 11 will be gradually expanded, and automatic updates will be enabled for Safetica ONE 10 users who meet requirements and use a compatible configuration.

Learn about the current requirements and limitations.

What languages are supported?

As of June 2023, Safetica ONE 11 console is available in:

🇺🇸 English, 🇨🇿 Czech, 🇵🇹 🇧🇷 Portuguese (Brazil), 🇪🇸 Spanish, 🇫🇷 French, 🇵🇱 Polish, 🇹🇷 Turkish, 🇺🇦 Ukrainian, Slovak, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional)

Where can I set the language of Safetica notifications shown to end users?

Languages we support in end-user notifications:

🇺🇸 English, 🇨🇿 Czech, 🇵🇹 🇧🇷 Portuguese (Brazil), 🇪🇸 Spanish, 🇫🇷 French, 🇵🇱 Polish, 🇹🇷 Turkish, 🇺🇦 Ukrainian, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Slovak, German

Safetica ONE 11 uses the system language of the end user's device when displaying their notifications. This means that:

  • If the end-user has their device set to one of the supported languages, we display Safetica notifications in that language.
  • If the end-user has their device set to a language we do not support, English is used by default.

Should we wait or update our customers to Safetica ONE 11 immediately? Which ones, if not all?

We advise waiting until automatic updates are available in the Safetica ONE 10 Maintenance Console. Manual updates also won’t be supported in the initial release. We will make an announcement once manual or automatic updates are available for existing Safetica ONE 10 customers.

How to describe Safetica ONE 11 console vs Safetica Maintenance Console? What is the plan and priority of feature migration?

Simplified answer: Safetica ONE 11 only uses a single web-based console.
The desktop Safetica Maintenance Console is a temporary solution for special use cases, which are not crucial for most customers but can be blocking for some.
The situation will evolve throughout 2023, with the Safetica ONE 11 console gaining more features and Safetica Maintenance Console losing them. This process is prioritized, and you can see the Safetica ONE 11 roadmap topics here.

What happened to Safetica Management Console and WebSafetica?

Safetica ONE 11 includes a new web-based management console that replaces the now-discontinued WebSafetica.

Safetica Management Console in its original form was discontinued too and was transformed into Safetica Maintenance Console:

  • Safetica Maintenance Console serves for advanced (mostly maintenance) use cases that are not yet supported in the new Safetica ONE 11 console.

  • Safetica Maintenance Console is no longer part of the standard product installer. It needs to be downloaded separately and is available here.

Safetica feature set is gradually migrated from Safetica Maintenance Console to the new Safetica ONE 11 console. Once all functionality has been migrated, Safetica Maintenance Console will be deprecated.

Backwards compatibility

Safetica ONE 11 is backwards-compatible with Safetica Clients 10.4 and newer.

Older Safetica Clients are not backwards-compatible, and an update to Safetica ONE 10.4 (or newer) will be required to allow an automatic update to Safetica ONE 11.

What happens with my old data from Safetica ONE 10?

Your data from Safetica ONE 10 stay completely untouched, since updates are not yet available, and you can only perform a clean installation of Safetica ONE 11 for now.
