✨Safetica Platform: 2026 release notes

Learn about new features, changes, improvements, and bug fixes added to Safetica Platform in 2026.

April 29, 2026

Safetica has transitioned from one blended product to two distinct offerings - Safetica Platform and Safetica On-Prem.

Safetica Platform offers AI-driven visibility, contextual intelligence, and guided recommendations, so that security teams achieve fast time to value when protecting sensitive data without increasing operational workload.

You can learn more:

  • about the product split here (Safetica Partners only).

⭐ New

  • Let AI discover sensitive files: Safetica now uses AI to automatically discover groups of similar files across your devices and suggest tags you can add to your data classifications. This helps you uncover sensitive data you may not have known about and close protection gaps without building every classification rule manually. Learn more here.

  • End users can classify files: End users can now manually classify files using tags defined by admins in Safetica console. By applying or changing tags, users can directly influence how Safetica protects their files. Learn more here.
  • Sensitive content analysis is now available for BYOD: Safetica can now analyze files shared or sent via Microsoft 365 for sensitive content, regardless of whether a managed device was used. When sensitive content is detected, your existing policies are enforced automatically. Learn more here.
  • Custom app/web categories: You can now create custom categories within the Categories section, select whether they apply to apps or websites, and assign them a behavior category.

  • Updated navigation menu: The Safetica console has a refreshed navigation menu with a cleaner layout, updated section names, and reorganized sections.

    • Alerts: Alert settings for your account can now be found in Settings > Your preferences.

    • Personal details: Account-related options such as personal details and password change are now accessible from Settings > Your preferences.

    • Safetica settings: Safetica-related settings such as Accounts and permissions, Subscription and license management, Protection exclusions, and Admin trail are now accessible from Settings > Safetica settings.
  • Expanded Instant Messaging protection: Added Cisco Jabber support.
  • Plan-based limits: The number of admin accounts, reports, report frequency, or creation of custom shared layouts are now determined by your product plan. Learn more here.

    ⭐ New

    • Improved device status visibility: Two columns in the Devices section have been updated for greater clarity:
      • The Last response column now always shows the current time for online devices and refreshes each time you reload the console.
      • The Settings updated column shows when the device last received a settings change from Safetica, and only updates when a setting actually changes. So an online device may show an older date if nothing has changed recently.
