Safetica 11.29.8 (February 9, 2026)

https://update.safetica.com/updater/ses_update_11.29.8_semhiu.xml

Security

This release resolves two high-severity security issues that are pending CVE assignment:

  • Privilege escalation vulnerability in Safetica Client for Windows (on-premises only)
  • Denial-of-service vulnerability in Safetica Client

Both vulnerabilities require local system access to exploit. When the system is protected by an EDR solution, exploiting them without detection is difficult. We are not aware of any cases where these vulnerabilities were actively exploited.

In addition, this release fixes several lower-severity security issues and includes improvements that further strengthen Safetica’s overall security.

⭐ New

  • 🪟macOS: Cisco Jabber was added to supported instant messengers on macOS devices.

  • Antivirus exceptions: When downloading the Safetica Client installer in the Devices section, you will be informed about the necessity of setting up exceptions in your antivirus software.
  • Licencing accuracy improvements.

    🛠️ Fixed

    • Fixed issues with archive creation.
    • Bug fixes and performance improvements.

    Safetica 11.28.6 (January 20, 2026)
